Current Opening: Pit Crew Trainee
Pit crew trainee for high tech springmaking team.
- Three years high tech manufacturing experience or college degree; tool design, technical drawing, PLCs, and computer programming courses a plus
- Motivated by skilled work itself and passionate about making a superior product automatically
- Strong technical and computer aptitude; demonstrated perseverance to solve technical problems; attraction to high-tech tools and equipment; demonstrated ability to design tools to make small mechanical tasks easier; enjoyment of mechanical tinkering a plus
- Ability to look at a technical system and understand how the components work together; ability to visualize technical solutions to solve a problem
- Self-discipline; ability to follow directions; ability to work consistently; ability to pay attention while working quickly
- Ability to take responsibility for own actions; honesty; good judgement with regard to product quality
- Coachable, adaptable, friendly, and cooperative; demonstrated patience with people; team leadership skills a plus
- Comfortable working and communicating with a diverse workforce
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer, web, and email skills; numeric, arithmetic, algebra, and geometry proficiency; computer programming experience a plus
- Commitment to reducing waste in the work environment
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; work regular hours with environmental factors that would ordinarily be expected in full-service manufacturing environment; ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to physically access equipment from floor level to six feet above; lift and transport 40 pounds
- Ability to see up close while wearing safety glasses
- Full time, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Available for limited nighttime on call and limited overtime and weekend hours as needed
