ROLE/TITLE: Class One Operator
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Manager

FUNCTION OF ROLE:
  1. Production Support
  2. Customer Satisfaction
  3. Documentation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Run and monitor coiling machines
    1. Inspect machine periodically throughout shift
    2. Adjust machines
    3. Load material on/off payoff reels.
    4. Shut down machine for suspect problems, as needed
  2. Inspect product
    1. Compare product to the blueprint
    2. Measure springs, wire forms and formed metal parts
    3. Conduct first piece, in-process and final inspections
    4. Record inspection data
    5. Gather, record and plot SPC data
    6. Documentation completed per ISO standards
  3. Move product from one operation to the next
  4. Perform general housekeeping
  5. Support Midstate's commitment to continuous improvement.
  6. Perform other related duties, as directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: High School Graduate or GED
  2. Be willing and able to work overtime, holidays,
    and weekends as requested by their production supervisor.
  3. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  4. Stand and walk for long periods of time.
  5. Must be proficient in basic math skills.
  6. Must work well in a team environment.
  7. Adhere to all items listed in the Employee
    Orientation Guide


Current Opening: Micro Spring Technician and Trainer

Spring Manufacturer is looking for a candidate proficient in setup and programming on MEC SH-1 and MEC TM-3 spring forming machines with wire diameters ranging from .0007" to .003". In addition to setup and programming, candidate will be expected to train others in those areas.

Job Requirements

  1. 10 Years of experience is required in shape, theory, and tooling for production of wire forms, compression, torsion, and extension springs from .0007" to .003" wire diameter
  2. Superior experience and skill in training others (5 years minimum).
  3. Proven ability as a team leader in a production environment.
